This community is for people who believe Internet Explorer is a poor excuse for a web browser.
Internet Explorer has a long history of not following standards, not supporting widely accepted web technologies (e.g. CSS, SVG, MathML, transparent PNG) not being very user friendly, not being secure.... the list goes on!
We need to spread the word to all Internet Explorer users that there are better browsers out there (e.g. Firefox or Opera).
So come and join the revolution! Let's see if we can stamp out that blasted Internet Explorer once and for all!

"Forbes.com called Firefox the best browser in a 2004 commentary piece. PC World named Firefox the "product of the year" in 2005 on their "100 Best Products of 2005" list. After the release of Firefox 2 and Internet Explorer 7 in 2006, PC World reviewed both and announced that Firefox was the better browser. Which? Magazine named Firefox its Best Buy web browser."
"..as of February 12, 2007 Firefox has been downloaded over 300 million times."

Why you should dump Internet Explorer
Update: This article was posted in June 2004 based on the browser versions available at the time. Even so, despite all the updates that Microsoft have made to Internet Explorer since then, the points made in this article are still valid. It makes you wonder, if Microsoft have had 3 years to fix the problems - what have they been doing with their time?!
"Much criticism of Internet Explorer is related to concerns about security: Much of the spyware, adware, and computer viruses across the Internet are made possible by exploitable bugs and flaws in the security architecture of Internet Explorer..."
"the browser often uses proprietary extensions to achieve similar functionality."
"[Internet Explorer] has numerous implementation gaps and conformance failures—some minor, some not—that have led to criticism from an increasing number of developers. The increase is attributable, in large part, to the fact that competing browsers that offer relatively thorough, standards-compliant implementations are becoming more widely used."
"Internet Explorer's ubiquity, in spite of its inferiority in this area, frustrates developers who want to write standards-compliant, cross-browser code and the advanced functionality it provides, because they are often stuck coding pages around Internet Explorer's bugs, proprietary featureset, and missing standards support instead."
"Internet Explorer is often criticized for being technically obsolete. These include supporting fewer CSS, HTML, and DOM features than Firefox or Opera and not having native XHTML support."
