Description

Travel is a BIG community so I want to create a hotel community for all those affiliates and merchants who are accommodation only or accommodation focussed.

We can discuss the changing face of hotel distribution, price comparison, niche accommodation sites, big players, small upcoming players etc.

I have called this 'hotels' - it encompasses all accommodation from B&B through apartments and on to luxury hotels. 'Accommodation' is just too long!

    This is our site www.hostelbookers.com, we are an online budget accommodation provider (budget hotels, hostels and b&b) for independent travelers, backpackers and young people worldwide with over 10,000 properties.

     


    What I want to propose is an affiliation CPA based.

     


    The user books by paying just the %10 of the total basket value (average basket value of £85/$170) as a deposit in order to secure the property and the outstanding amount is paid by the user on arrival.

     


     

     


    The deposit is our earnings and that is what we share with you from a 30% to a 50%; Therefore you are looking at £4.25/$8.50 revenue for you booking.

    yep i'm from a network. we are about to launch 3 hotel merchants


    1=chain, 1=travel aggregator, 1=luxury hotel booking site


    The commissions are still flexible so it would be good to hear your feedback on what is good and bad in the industry.  pet hates, what's fair etc.  I'd like to start the campaigns off properly.  drop me a line if you have some thoughts agreaves@linkshare.com

    There is a new hotel price comparison kid on the block... www.TubeHotels.com is a google maps mashup that lists London hotels relative to London tube stations. All the hotels have a map (it is a mashup after all) showing exact position.

    This site is useful to anyone visiting London for the first time, for business travellers attending a meeting and for experienced visitors who already know their way around. Enter a tube station to see accommodation around it and search for availability to see available hotels on the map and get booking links straight into 6 hotel companies:
