Just joined the forum and just joined the LUFC community.

Lived in Garforth leeds for the past 46 years. Moved to West London 6 months ago. Still follow LUFC will be going to games down here although I have offices in Castleford Yorkshire and still go up and down the M1 every week. so it looks like I am marching on together.

15 point penalty - not a great start to the season. That is a BIG penalty! Nice work Ken.

Any one going to any matches this season? I think the first one I'll be able to get to is Carlisle v Leeds in November.

been talking to 'ourkev' about going to the matches this season - possible the Luton game on 1st Sept.

Although, I must admit, I've got a sinking feeling that LUFC are being taken for a ride by Mr Bates - but in true Yorkshire style we like nothing better than a challenge - and I think we've got one this season.

Also from Leeds, raised in Yeadon right near the airport!

Next season will be a tough one - all depends if ayone is actually going to invest in us or if its all talk again. Either way I reckon go or youth, is gotta be the way forward.

Has anyone heard of this Sheikh thats suppossed to be coming in with a bid for us? Im sure hes linked with buying us every summer but nothing ever comes of it.. Still hoping Revies son pull out a miracle for us myself!

    Heres hoping!!

Next season certainly promises to be interesting - let's hope we prove we don't belong in this league and start building a great team again - as Ken Bates said (although I'm not a fan - looks like a dodgy used car salesman to me)

"Little clubs are always little clubs and big clubs are always big clubs. Big clubs fall on hard times, but they always rise and that's what Leeds will do."

and Mark you're heading for a slap - you'd better run if you see me carrying some step ladders [smiley]

    Hi everyone,

Nope I'm not from Leeds I'm afraid, but a few miles away in Bradford.

< Raises head above pulpit and tries to be nice so he's not kicked off Leeds Utd Fans > I'll have to be completely frank and say that I'm not a through and through Leeds Utd fan. I do have a soft spot for them though and am really hoping they will bounce back.

I can share in your sorry as both my teams are in the doldrums. I was born and bred between Bradford and Halifax and so support both the teams. Halifax are languishing in the Nationwide Conference and Bradford were relegated to bottom league for the first time in 25 years. How sad to see Bradford City drop from the heights of the Premier League in just a few seasons.

BTW, there's a Yorkshire and Lancashire community on a4u here.

Do you think Leeds Utd. will bounce back or unfortunately be stuck in Football League Two for a while?

How things have changed since '72:
