Hi I used to live in and work the UK but had to give up work to look after my wife. I ended up having to sell the house, but now we live in the caribbean and hve a couple of buy-to-lets in the states.
Thinking that others might benefit from our experiences I have produced an eBook that I hope will supplement my income (details can be found via my profile).
It has not been easy, but sometimes you just have to make the best of a bad situation.

Well i've finally got my first online (well about a week ago actually). Unfortunatly its on the bottom of page 13 in google for my main keyphrase
Its a start though I suppose!
Personally I've got a couple of good ideas for niches, and know what I want the sites to look like, but i'm having problems creating them. I want to use CSS/HTML to make a fairly basic site but am finding it hard to get into. Every tutorial and example I look at seems to use different techniques for the layout. I thought I was going ok at first, but now my head is so full of divs, tables, sectors, etc I dunno whats going on!
I've got a few sites up and running but they aren't getting any sales, bit disheartening really but I'll keep trying. I've also got a load of domains I need to build websites for so maybe I'll strike gold with one of them.
Well I have a niche advertising accessories to Hells Angels. Does that count?
The only problem is that there an awful lot of reversals for ehem dodgy card transactions.
I'm currently building a site for fat people in a sort of shock and abuse them way so they either leave or get the hint and do something about their being fat. Buying the domain Monday. Site should be up in a month if I can find an artist to do a header of a fat animated pig munching a half eaten cake.
Well things have gone very quiet in here! Anyone got any success stories? Failures? Anything? There seems to be a lot of newbies like myself in this community, it would be good to hear how people are progressing.
Yep, i got that one that Kylah suggested the other day.
I'm halfway through the tutorials and i've gotta say i'm impressed Stu. You seem to have the nack of presenting things in a really simple way. Cheers again for the vids!
Another forum member previously gave this link http://www.snapfiles.com/get/flashmovieplayer.html. Worked for me - and enables you to pause and rewind too.
UPDATE - After watching Stu's tutorial I published a web site on Wednesday and it entered Google.co.uk today at number 7 out of 450,000. All I did was submit my site on Craigs List and Gumtree, I didn't write any articles and I didn't do any blogging so I think that's excellent. Thanks a lot Stu, I've truly got the bug now!
Not had a chance to watch the videos yet, but the list of links is worth its weight in gold anyway. Plenty of nuggets in there I'd not seen, or had just forgotten! Many thanks for that.
Very generous with your tutorial I see. Have downloaded them all today and will see what else I can pick up from you when I get the chance to watch them.
I'm still keeping the tip you gave me the other day in mind, should get a site up and running soon!
I listened to your tutorial today and loved it. Well done and thanks a bunch for doing it and giving it away! It is very generous of you. I'll let you know how I get on.
And I'll still submit the 10 articles to your directory. When I get the time to write them that is! It will be soon though.

ok here's the real quick rundown on NM.
Take a big piece of pie (let's call the pie FOOTBALL)
Do some keyword research into your pie, note the searches that appear to be more targeted and serving a smaller slice of the pie (football socks)
Create a website to serve that targeted market, which will have loyal repeat customers, because there is little or no competition, you clean up and keep your bank manager happy.
