Firebox.com was founded in 1998 and is the original online gadget site. Setup by two university friends, since then it has grown to a staff of 35 and turnover of over £12 million.

Although originally a site aimed at men, Firebox has expanded into the unique gifts sector and now stocks many products aimed at women as well as those that appeal to everyone. Half its customers are female.

The Firebox.com affiliate programme was establised in 2000, and was one of the first in the UK. Affiliate marketing is central to the companies expansion plans.

Firebox sells all manner of amazing gifts, from the world's biggest gummi bear to the smallest video camera. Recent launches include Firetots, a range for babies and toddlers, Crapwrap, a bad gift wrap service, and an attempt to organise the world's biggest secret santa event.
