Interesting to approach merchants who don't convert well with the cpm / cpc idea... We used to get around 2% conversion for a particular merchant, who last year got taken over and moved to a (cheaper I think) network. With the same ads running, same ctr etc. etc. we've had nothing in over 800 clicks. Noone else is running brand or PPC ads by the look of it and their natural search results are not good. To be fair the merchant site seems to have deteriorated into random slowness. However, would have expected some sort of conversions by now. One way or another, they certainly won't be getting free clicks from now on.
