A common question we’re asked at SVP is “whose media should I buy?”. There isn’t a short answer to that, it depends upon a number of factors, but we often say you can’t go wrong by buying Verbatim CDR, DVDR or other media.
Verbatim have been a major player since the CDR market was young. As developments such as DVDR, dual (double) layer DVDR and Blu Ray have come along, there’s usually been a Verbatim disc available as one of the first of the format that you could buy. This means that manufacturers often cite Verbatim media as tested and compatible with their drives, since it was available, high-quality and dependable when the hardware was developed.
