I just wanted to say a big thanks to RO Eye for hosting a good event last Friday in Manchester. Shame about the weather, maybe picking a place called ‘Rain’ bar was tempting fate. Everything else about the event was great - the food, the drink, and especially meeting new affiliates, merchants and agency staff.
This type of meet-up is particularly good for affiliates because it’s informal and relaxed, and there was a good balance of people. Some affiliate get-togethers I’ve been to have been swamped with network staff, and the atmosphere has been, dare I say it, a little bit cliquey. In that sort of environment it can be difficult for an affiliate who turns up on their own to ‘fit in’ without being constantly hounded to join this or that network.Read the full story
