Admittedly Lee wasn’t the sharpest tool in the box, and he’s taken some stick for it.
However, in my opinion he was the deserved winner and the right choice for Sir Alan. Why? It all comes down to likeability and trust. So what if he did a reverse pterodactyl impression in an interview? The guy asked him to do it, so he did it.
Looking at the other 3 finalists it becomes clear how Lee won:
Helene -
Never stopped putting others down and creating conflict where it wasn’t really warranted. Yes she had lots of experience in the corporate world, but all that means is that she’s a good arse-licker and is prepared to step on people to get what she wants. She came across as abrasive and crude at times.
