The points based cashback site Pigsback.com has launched an offline scheme that will allow users to redeem points at shops such as Superdrug and Halfords.
It is unclear if members will be able to earn points on the high street or just redeem them.
This is an obvious way for the larger cashback sites to not only grab extra revenue but also more coverage. I suspect more will follow, quidco have hinted they are working on something.
I am not sure how large the offline voucher business is in the UK, it is massive in the US with affiliates tapping into this and merchants offering a huge range of printable offline vouchers which affiliates are paid for.
