I've never seen a car burn down before, but this is exactly what happened a week or so ago at work. We were outside the office for a cigarette when a small fire started from the engine of this parked old car. Within minutes it spread around the vehicle and the four or five carpets that were stacked on its roof. The owner was nowhere to be seen and for a long time neither was the fire brigade, leaving us to wonder if cars really do explode when on fire. The answer is - luckily, they don't.Eventually the firefighters arrived to do their job and it all ended without any injuries or real damage to nearby cars and property. Now I am sure there is a moral to this story, I just can't think of one right now and I'll have to leave it at that!
