Last night brought the fantastic news that kidnapped BBC journalist Alan Johnston had been freed in Gaza. You can find in-depth coverage on the BBC, who had dedicated so much effort to ensuring their employee’s safe release.
Whilst I am under no sort of self-delusion that our post on this had anything to do with his release, I do think that it was merely a tiny part of a world-wide swell of support, that Alan has said he was aware of, due to the fact that he had access to the BBC World Service.
