As many webmasters and SEOs know, when it comes to the web, content is king. It is what is indexed by search engines and is the most important aspect in deciding a web page’s relevancy, and to an extent, its rankings in search results. It is also what visitors judge your website on, deciding whether or not they return to your website.
So which is more important - having lots and lots of keyword rich content, or a few pages of high quality well written content? Lots of text over lots of pages increases the chances of performing in search engines for long tail keyword searches meaning a good stream of traffic. Whereas less (better written) content will be more likely to keep the reader’s eye, increasing the chances of them returning.
