An interesting blog Nadeem. What works this year probably won't work as well next year. Affiliate Marketing has always evolved it’s the nature of the industry. The cash back argument is well founded but there are other areas where real innovation and the drive to not create a 'traditional cash back site' will prevail. You would be insane under most circumstances to create a 'traditional affiliate site' today, you must create real value using the latest technology and create something unique, and then the returns can be gained. This year you'll see Video taking a stage and the resurfacing of decent product feeds will give affiliates new inspiration and optimism. Who’s going to be first to create a decent video based affiliate site for instance?

Completely agree with you Matt (indeed, some of the stuff in my recent articles has been inspired by one of our conversations last year at the pub in Covent Garden). And I know Existem are right up there with creating value-added affiliate sites. Regarding a video affiliate site, Shawn Collins has got a brilliant one, but there's nothing on this side of the Atlantic as you say.
