The local search is very good, from plumbers to hotels to cafes, a lot cleaner then their general results. But still in the back of my mind I worry where all this is going. Why not rename the net google? I can certainly see them buying library contracts worldwide from governments soon. [from a film I watched the other day where all libraries are on the net only]

You've just got to keep playing the game, one of these days though, google may go too far and the worm will turn with the majority blocking their spiders.

There's one thing being a search engine, it's another listing the smallest thing required so as the searcher doesn't need to visit the listed website. And when that happens, companies and websites will block google, they're not in the business of making google money and keeping searchers on their site and only to return to their site.

That's why sites like newsnow are allowed to show headlines of our sites so they can generate profit but equally they give us traffic in return and provide a service to us. But google do appear to be overstepping the mark a lot recently.

Edit: Also if google were to put at the top "please mention google when contacting the below company" bye bye YELL hehe madness aint it.
