Its easy and something big business has been doing for years. Think Admiral, Bell, Elephant, Diamond, Gladiator and Confused.com - All part of the same group and all selling the same thing "Car Insurance" except they target different areas of the market.
Just make sure each company looks totally different on paper and that they compliment each other.
I think a business man once said "If there is going to be competition, you might as well own it"
