ISPreview - Site News - New Monthly Survey, Consumers Reject Phorm poll saying that they would move ISP rather than have Phorm intercepting all their traffic, I feel that the affiliate networks and merchants should have a long hard look at themselves and the effect that using Phorm to promote their products will have on their image.
Phorm are probably struggling to find merchants prepared to associate themselves with the OIX before the BT trial goes live this month and are hoping that the merchants using the affiliate networks won't notice who is using their advert to earn income from raping privacy.
Unless Phorm have changed their view, they have been saying that every ad script hosted by a site will carry information about opting in or out of Webwise - I can't find the reference on the Webwise site, so perhaps that has been removed from their desire to be open with those people who are being tracked and profiled.

Petition to: Stop ISP's from breaching customers privacy via advertising technologies. and help to stop this adware before it destroys the reputation of and income from affiliate marketing - only needs 152 signatures to go over the 13k mark.
Affiliates need to educate themselves. Those few who say they will not change ISP are saying that they will use adblockers to protect themselves from adverts - that means your affiliate link won't be seen by your hard won visitors.
