Hi all,
I've contacted our teams in each country to see if there was something which needed further investigation. We could not find evidence to suggest that these are anything but isolated-though unfortunate-cases.
The email addresses of publishers on the CJ network are not distributed to third party sources and Commission Junction is fully compliant with CAN SPAM. Publishers can opt to hide their Superuser address from the advertiser to which they are joined. Although this will limit the advertisers ability to contact to you, it will ensure that the address isn't used for some purpose outside the CJ network.
If you choose to hide your email address, you can still receive newsletters and email campaigns if you choose to opt in. However, the advertiser will not be able to see your actual address under your account details.
The email details can be hidden using Mail>Mail Settings>Direct Contact Email. The CJ system defaults to making the email address visible. In this section of the Member Area publishers can also select which types of notices they would like to receive.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have.
Thank you,
