Has everyone else got the message saying that Affmeter will no longer be free from a certain date ?

Its a shame as its very useful, i mean it will probably make me buy it, but I think someone else should develop a free one

I already paid for mine ages ago cos I was so pleased with it

I am not surprised they may charge in the future or now if thats the case because its so labor saving, especially if your a stats junkie like me.

I got the message last night, and its a shame as for a free product its great.

I`m in two minds about upgrading though, as there are some features that i`d like to see which are missing, and I`d like things laid out a bit differently.

It has occured to me to write something myself, but its just finding the time as i`ve got so much on my plate at the moment, but if I did I could put in all the extra bits that I need. Who knows, it could turn into a marketable product

One thing I noticed is that the new version requires a Google API key to collect adwords data, which can be quite akward, as last time I got one it took about a month to come through.

There's upgrade pricing for current Free version users which works out at less than 20 quid. That's got to be easier than writing your own version. Although if someone wants to create a version that runs on Nokia mobile phones I'll be first in the queue for a copy!

I think I probably will upgrade for the mean time, but keep the plans to write my own. Yes, it will take a while to write my own version, but it will have the advantage that I get exactly what I want

I've used the free version, but not sure i would upgrade, whilst i find it useful, the report and general look/feel could be improved. Plus never managed to get it working with tradedoubler, but no doubt TD's fault there. A nice idea all the same, does save some time.

Ive had trouble getting adsense revenue in the last few weeks though, anyone else had trouble?
