"The biggest advice I can give is talk, talk and talk some more"

Clearly this is advice from a person who already knows everything and has no need to learn any more.

The biggest piece of advice I could give is listen, listen, and listen some more. As Benjamin Franklin once said "It takes a man 4 years to learn how to talk and 40 years to learn how to listen".

However, I'm still learning, so what do I know?

Some how i don't think he means you shouldn't listen lol sure you'll learn a lot if you just listen, but if you actually ask questions theres even more chance of your question(s) getting answered!!!

    To quote the full section:

The biggest advice I can give is talk, talk and talk some more. Don’t be afraid of asking questions or talking to people. The reason for events like the a4uexpo is to learn, even if people exhibiting don’t seem relevant they are all successful in their own field. Ask questions and try to understand their business model, it might just open doors you would otherwise be unaware off.

Thanks for commenting Michael, I also agree listening is very important

The point I was trying to make, was not to be shy, everybody has something to add, us English people are often to reserved for our own good. There is nothing to lose by striking up a conversation with like-minded show goers!

    Are you attending the show?

Thanks - I did get the point and I agree with you that there's really no point attending a networking event and then sitting in a corner nursing a coke, or just talking to people you already know, which as you rightly say is very much the "UK way".

And no, regrettably I won't be attending, but would be happy to network with you or anyone on here via Linkedin, email, phone, you name it.
