As some will still have sore heads and be making their way back from A4UExpo, I thought I would start the A4UExpo thank you thread 2008.

First of all, thanks to Matt, Claire and the whole Existem team for organising yet another fantastic event.

Thanks to everyone who came and chatted to us on our stand and ate all of our chocolates. The winner of the DNA-Worldwide family tree competition was Joe Connor from Renegade Publishing - well done Joe, we will be in touch in the next couple of days to arrange your prize.

Thanks to the thronging crowd who came to the seminar session I gave along with Mark Russell from Existem Affiliate Management. I hope you found it useful and informative and apologies for having to swap to a bigger room due to demand

Thanks to Affiliate Future for sponsoring the party on Monday night and Platform A for sponsoring the Thames Cruise (though more food would have been welcome). Thanks to Sky and Co for sponsoring the final party too though sadly I couldn't make that one.

Thanks for everyone who bought me drinks on my birthday - I think it's the first time I've had drinks just after midnight at the start of my birthday and drinks at five to 12 at the end - and the first day of Expo is my birthday again next year :drool

All in all, an absolutely excellent event - great to catch up with many friends from over the years, and great to make some cracking new friends and contacts too.

As it was my first expo I have to say I was really really impressed, it was fantastic to meet so many really interesting and inspiring people and also get the chance to put faces to the names once and for all! I really enjoyed all the seminars and came away with reems of notes that hopefully will be put to good use! I hope everyone who came on the platform A boat with us also had fun, really looking forward to the next one!

Hi -

I also want to say a big thank you to the organisers! It was my first expo - and I've already got next years date in the diary.

A big thanks to the guys at Affilinet for supplying us with nibbles, drinks and Suishi for the whole two days! As well as the guys from Uk Web media for their cocktails, they we're well received :tup

My only disappointment was that I didn't get to talk to more people, but hey, there's always next year!

Wow!

I have so much information, names, faces all swimming around in my head after a great few days.

Again, thanks to Keith and Arctic Sunrise for my ticket. Was great to meet so many people and be able to put faces to names.

Would also like to say that Hanah wasn't exagerrating at all when she was telling me how nice everyone in affiliate marketing is, and thanks to all the people I spoke to who were willing to pass on useful advice, and get accross some very important points to me as well as giving me a slightly differant perspective on things which will be invaluable going forward.

Thanks to all the guys and girls who ran some excellent seminars, just unfortunate I couldn't get eround to more than one each session, I'm thinking I may invest in some cloning technology for next year

And of course thanks to the organisers and sponsors for the whole shebang!

Yes a great event and very well organised.

Coming to the event from an agency perspective, there was certainly a lot of relevant content, it was a good refresher of knowledge already gained and I certainly cannot pretend to know it all and picked up lots of hints, tips and trends from the great list of speakers.

I need to curb my drinking and networking at the end of day one though next time as I was a little tender at the start of day two!

By far the best affiliate event I've ever attended (and I've been to a fair few..). I thought that it would be hard to match last years expo but not only was it matched, it was bettered, a great achievement by the Existem team.

A big thank you to everyone that helped organise and run the event and I'm looking forward to Amsterdam, the Awards and next year already.

Now all I need is a new liver.

Thanks again for a great expo... I am overloaded with info and raring to go on all the changes we need to make to our sites.

I just wanted to say a special thank you to the guys at dfds for the Mini Cruise I won on Platform A's boat! And as I live 10 minutes from the ferry terminal in Newcastle I will definitely be taking you up on the offer :tup

We had such a great event, from both an enjoyment and commercial perspective. Great to meet up with old friends and new and wonderful to be part of the best industry on the planet. Many thanks to the Matt, Claire, Chris etc - was just fabulous.

I've been to a whole lot of events and this was definitely one of the best ones.

Like last year the sessions were very good, especially because there were some aimed at merchants which you don't often see at affiliate conferences.

Thanks for the parties as well, I particularly enjoyed the Thames Cruise.
All in all, great job guys!
