Just tried to book a room for next week at the Novotel and the Ibis but they are both now fully booked. Anyone need to cancel a room?

Alternatively, what other hotels are people are staying at?

    Cheers

We're staying at the Park Plaza Sherlock Holmes (in Baker Street of course! ). It's not as close as others but easy by tube I've been told.

I'm pleased to hear good reviews of the Custom House Hotel - I'm booked in with two other Azam Marketing colleagues so I might see you there!

Was a bit worried because of the low price and the fact that no-one was mentioning it in the hotel threads. At least its close to Excel :tup

Don't forget that the Crowne Plaza is next door and still has availability.

If you cant use Google and find Laterooms or Lastminute then I dont think spending the best part of a grand on this conference is for you.

    Harsh? Maybe.

    Fair do's.

Except they arent sold out. I just checked on Last Minute and you can still get rooms there.

    Hope this link still works.

Thats why I was being harsh.

ps - its the Top Secret hotel, and I *think* from memory that its cheaper than booking through A4U. Look for the clues - its the closest they have to the Excel, and Custom House Tube is 200m away.

Book it up and enjoy. Then punch me for being harsh and fliipant at one of the parties. I am easy to spot. I am hairy. Very hairy

eta - if its *not* the Novotel, then its one on the other side of the road a bit further down, but no more than 200 metres from the official hotel and 300 metres from Excel. And its a nice hotel - I have stayed there before.

We are staying at custom house too! sounds like it was a good choice.
Can i ask anyone who has been there before, is it a full english buffet breakfast or a rubbish toast, jam and coco pops breakfast?
this is very important to me.

    cheers

I just looked and it's still possible (some released rooms?) to book 1 or 2 nights at the Ibis Hotel direct on their website Ibis Hotels. The cheaper £65/night price that was available a few days ago is no longer available, but £75/night seems to be the current deal...
