    Hi,

As platinum sponsor we are really excited about the a4u expo, it promises to be the event of the year in the affiliate marketing calendar and we are delighted to be involved.

We intend to use this thread to allow you to become familiar with our team and what we plan to do at and around the event.

Firstly a little reminder to all of those that haven't yet signed up to the pre-party you can do so here: Pre Event Networking Party. This event is nearly sold out and space is limited, so i urge you to sign up today!

buy.at and their staff can be found at stand 13, watch this space over the next 12 days to see what our staff will be getting up to at the event. The fun starts this afternoon with the first post from Warrick Lambert our Head of Account Management....

If you have any questions or comments feel free to post them here!

    Cheers

    Laura

    Hi Guys,

Ok, I guess most people on the forum know me already, but for anyone that doesn’t I’m the head of account management at buy.at. I’ve worked at buy.at for just over 3 years and pretty much split my time between London and Newcastle. Day to day I’m responsible for managing our team of 16 account managers and developing the programmes on the network as well as working with the various teams within buy.at.

    Name - Warrick Lambert
    Nickname - Warrick?
Job role at buy.at - Head of account management
    Age - 24
Hometown - Billingham – near Middlebrough
    Hair Colour - brown/grey
Fact about yourself - I’ve never been to a gym, apparently that’s an achievement
Favorite quote - “have you tried complaining about it?”
    Favorite Drink - Lager

In addition to these oh so exciting facts about me, I’ve also got a free affiliate ticket to the A4U Expo to give away. All you need to do is drop me a line with why you think you deserve it and the best/wittiest/most begging response will receive a ticket. If you’re unsure about attending I cant recommend it highly enough given the quality of the attendees, not just buy.at, and the speakers that Matt has lined up.

Hopefully see you all there. If anyone wants to get in contact with me you can use either warrick@buy.at or MSN warrick.lambert@perfiliate.com

    Cheers

    Warrick

    Hi,

Further to Warrick's introduction I thought it would be worthwhile introducing myself and the rest of the team who will be on the buy.at stand at Expo. I am a Senior Account manager at buy.at and therefore have the pleasure of reporting to Warrick (and yes I have tried complaining about it). I have been at buy.at for just over two years and have recently relocated to the London Office:

    Name - Rosalyn Fenwick
Nickname - Fat angry lazy Roz
Job role at buy.at - Senior Account Manager
    Age - 23
    Hometown - Seaford, near Brighton
    Hair Colour - Blonde
Fact about yourself - I play a mean 'Mr Jones' on the guitar
Favorite quote - I can resist anything but tempation
Favorite Drink - Gin and Lemonade

Ill be on the stand on Wednesday and at all of the parties!

Tomorrow we will introduce you to some more members of the buy.at crew with some more facts - let us know if there is anything else about us you would like to know!

Further to dougs eloquently put reply, I will also be giving away an affiliate ticket to the Expo . This time to get your hands on it drop me an email at rosalyn.fenwick@buy.at and let me know why you deserve it and exactly how far you would go to prove it! I am just as mean and tight fisted as Warrick so you are going to have to impress!

    See you there,

Mark, seeing the 3 of your faces there makes me glad you're based down in London now If only i didn't spend so much time there

Warrick, I do hope you're not trying to distance yourself from that fine town Middlesbrough by inaccurately spelling it. This week it's been announced that my home town is the 'worst place to live in the UK'.

I'd really like your A4U Expo pass to help cheer me up from this devastating news. However I am holding out for Kieron's blog prize (which is yet to be announced) which includes all the networking parties too

    Hi Befuddle,

Good point, cant believe i managed to do that, its been updated now. I was actually out in boro on sat night...cant beat a night at the arena...

I'm not sure if all the passes allow you to get into the parties, but I'm happy to throw in an invite to the buy.at party to the to lucky winners of the competition. It's fair to say I've not been overwhelmed with responses so far, so either people have already signed up or don't thing they've got a chance of winning. If you want to attend then please do drop me a line, I'll leave the competition open to 12pm on Thursday, so get your entries in before then for your chance of winning.

    Cheers,

    Warrick

Indeed, it is a top night. It is still spelt Middlesbrough though. So, does this count as two entries?

Joking aside, there are just as many reasons why I can't/shouldn't be there as want to/should be there, hence I've not bought a pass. It's one of those, if a free ticket lands on my lap then I'll make sure all other barriers to entry are pushed aside.

It would effectively mean I'll have to work over the Christmas period which includes my birthday date, to cover the 3 working days I'd be in London. That's a sacrifice I wouldn't have even contemplated before I attended (and sang) at my first A4U event at Amsterdam.

I just know that the networking at this event will bring me far more positive results for 2008 than the alternative Christmas binge-drinking in Middlesbrough
