  Advertising.com not paying!

Hey

Got a call from advertising.com today saying there not paying for all
leads sent on the seat campaign even though there all top quality
unincentivised leads.

They said its because we promoted them by email which we never knew
was disallowed and we know many other affiliates doing this who they
know aout and have been paid.

I can't believe they have just turned round and said they are not
paying. There supposed to be all trusted and payments backed by aol
but they don't seem to care about their affiliates.

Our account even says clearly all campaigns will be promoted by email
marketing only and they accepted this site yet they say no campaigns
can be promoted. By email marketing. Somethings wrong there?

We won't be working with advertising.com again unless this is resolved.

Kind Regards,
Matt lovett

  Re: Advertising.com not paying!

Did it say anything in the admin area about not being able to promote by email campaign ? if not then I don't see how they can then turn around and say no.

it's a bad day when you feel you have to screenshot T&C's before pushing something but going on some horror stories of late it's bordering on that scenario

seems a bit of a misguided reason to decline to pay even if so ..

I can see the point of no ppc if they mechant is wanting to push that channel themselves etc. but to refuse to pay for email leads is a bit of a joke is a bit like saying yeah all welcome.. then afterwards .. oh sorry we aren't paying for any sign up's by white christian females aged over 34 living in houndslow with kids..

so why no email sign ups welcome ? surely non incentivised email leads are as valid as those generated by seo, content or ppc !?

  Re: Advertising.com not paying!

They made a similar claim to us recently, and it does not state anywhere on advertising.com that you require approval to send ad select campaigns by email.

They do require approval to send newsletters from their nn.advertising.com platform, but not from publisher.advertising.com.

They refused to pay us for about £20,000 revenue generated through email once, but they ended up paying (because one way or another they WOULD have paid anyway, whether willingly of through order of a judge).
We now send them tests for approval before sending anything for them, but this is because they've now instructed us to provide this.

If you haven't been given that instruction then clearly they must pay you. If they don't then get a lawyer and sue, you'd totally win.
