Hi,
I'm pretty sure it's the number one rule here not to post peoples URL's.
Can understand you may be miffed, but take it up with the network, and please remove the URL's.

See here for Forum Rules regarding revealing member's URLs/identities without permission - pub105.ezboard.com/fukaff...1277.topic
I'm also concerned about the data confidentiality issue - A merchant has a resposibility both to Affiliates and the Networks to keep client data confidential. Posting URLs and e-mail addresses on a public forum is a big no-no, and could potentially land AF in hot water.
Thanks for posting those URL's Clix Media.
I will now be in contact with my lawyer as to implications with regards to the Data Protection Act.
Just out of interest are you registered with the DPR for holding personal information and addresses of people? If so kindly send me your registration number as my lawyer has requested it.
In fact I will be having words with AF on monday as well, with regards to you posting personal information as defined by the Data Protection Act 1998, on these public forums.
Have A nice day
damn - been on the board all day and missed this!!
I find it astonishing that anyone would post registrants/applicants email addresses and the sites that are affiliated with a merchant!!
However, it does remind me to ask a question about "identifiers" of registrants, especially via DGM in that when someone enters the Scottish Power competition, for example, it uses their phone number/email address as an identifier (correct me if I'm wrong!!!) - does that contravene the DPA? Or is it ok because one is affilaited with the site??
It's not like I go calling or emailing people that register after clicking an Afiiliate link on my sites - but it still is, to me, an issue that needs clearing up.
Thats the same as themutual, that uses the email as the identifier (on DGM) always wondered if we were allowed to use these, never have tho, just wondered..... *hmm ponders some more* <img src=http://www.gamers-forums.com/smilies/contrib/sarge/Whatever_anim.gif ALT=":hat">
take it clix is the same guy as sterling rock?
**removed libelous comments**
clix is sterling rock
When I signed up to clix I had a full size screen popup which said
"Sign up to Pitney Bowes and get a free franking machine for a month and ...... blah blah <strong>and earn £3</strong>"
Yes he gives you <strong>£3</strong> but he gets £27! since pb increased there comission. Bit of a rip off isnt it?
if I didn't have previous communications with the guy I may give the benefit of the doubt that that £3 was a typo and it should have been £30.
But I have, and I think one needs to understand how to be a success in business:
* don't be greedy - people don't like greedy they'll go elsewhere
* focus on customer relationship building - make people WANT to put the effort in
* make it easy for people to do business with you - People have a earnings V. hassle choice
* have a credible offering - the famous saying "if it looks too good to be true then it probably is" could be relevant
* don't follow trends, set them - stay ahead of the curve, predict what customers want e.g. probs IBM had
* evaluate your processes regularly - 404's of the business world!
This isn't only relevant to merchants, but to affiliates as well.
* Befriend your visitors, users
* make it easy to find the offerings they're looking for
* display in a manner that instils confidence
* keep them coming back
* check 404's, Gbot activity, CTR's EPC etc regularly
* try to predict future demand.
Ain't it easy?
Don't annoy merchants, affiliates, visitors - stay credible, dignified and productively communicative.
Soap box removed, dreamweaver started, lets get the show on the road!
