Exciting news from On the Beach...

On the Beach, the UK’s leading online travel agency is delighted to announce its new and unique customer offering of complete financial protection with its new ATOL licence and ATOL approved trust fund.

From July 22nd 2011, On the Beach will be the ONLY independent online travel agent in the UK to offer 100% financial protection for its customers and will immediately become a top 10 ATOL licence holder along with other major travel brands in the industry such as Thomson and Thomas Cook.

The new ATOL licence will cover up to 300,000 passengers per year.

Unlike other independent online travel agencies who only offer part protection and do not cover individual elements such as hotel only, On the Beach now offers full protection on all of the individual elements of its holidays including flight or hotel only or flight plus another product.

From today, all scheduled flights booked with On the Beach either via its website or its UK call centre are ATOL protected by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) under On the Beach’s ATOL of 10017

Low cost or no frills flights booked with On the Beach are protected by a combination of On The Beach’s airline failure insurance and the new ATOL approved On the Beach Trust Fund, which is managed by an independent corporate trustee.

Overseas hotel accommodation, transfers, airport parking and car hire are also covered by the new On the Beach Trust Fund.

The online travel agent which was recently voted the number one travel brand in the Promise Index* will offer this complete financial protection to all customers who are in-resort and those who are waiting to travel.

Over the past few months, we have worked closely with the CAA to create a perfect solution for our customers. Our new ATOL licence and our ATOL approved trust fund will allow customers to book in complete confidence, safe in the knowledge that their holiday is 100% protected whatever travel component is booked. We urge all consumers to check the terms and conditions of other online travel agencies prior to completing the booking as their holiday may not be 100% protected.”
