Can you please tell me what the current situation is with this company along with their legal status as they are shown as been dissolved Login to Duedil | The best way to search for UK company information, for free. | Duedil

The website states they are trading as sockrush ltd but that company clearly shut down / went bust

    Hi there,

The merchant has come back with the following statement:

Thank you MrH for your query. SockRush is definitely not shut down or dissolved – we have far too many customers and socks to connect before Christmas! We closed our UK operation as we have now relocated all operations to Hong Kong. This has not impacted the service we deliver to our customers and will actually benefit our future affiliates due to efficiencies. I hope this has answered your query and that we can look forward to you sharing in the benefits of our world sock domination!

    Many thanks,

    SockRush

    Kind regards,

    Hmm seems dodgy.

Moved to hong kong? Really? Are they going to update the site with this information as they are currently lying to customers and trading under a dissolved UK company name. Effectivly pulling the wool over customers eyes pretending to be UK based when they are not.

Funny that you didn't know this either where have you been sending your invoices? To what address, to what company? What is the legal entity of this company?

Are they going to issue all customers with a letter explaining that they are not UK based and that they are a hong kong company (are they) and the socks are made cheaply overseas?

Really annoys me that they are purposely displaying false infomation on their site in order to gain more sales from customers.

Just had another look. Seems the company never even bothered to submit any annual accounts so I presume never paid a penny in tax or vat since they started trading in 2007 and stopped in 2009 so best part of 3 years and they still haven't updated their site. It's fraud in every sense - false trading under false company name, no accounts filed, passing off as UK based (high quality ) when they are over seas = low quality
