To help prevent confusion between promoting The MyTravel and Going Places affiliate programmes, MyTravel have provided the information below to help improve conversions and make sure that you are sending traffic to the best place:

Our two affiliate programmes for Going Places.co.uk and MyTravel.com continue to go from strength to strength. But why do we want our affiliates to join and promote both programmes? Here are a few insider tips to put you in the know:

Old vs New
• MyTravel.com is an old hand at the online game. It’s been around longer and is more established.
• Going Places is the baby but growing fast as an established high street brand now online.

Travel Agent vs Direct Sell
• MyTravel.com sells all the package holidays for the MyTravel Group of companies including Direct Holidays - one of the group’s best selling direct sell travel brands.
• Going Places is a travel agent and doesn’t sell the Direct Holidays travel brand. What Going Places misses now will be made up for soon with the launch of third party travel brands on the site such as Thomas Cook. Watch this space for development news!

Don’t be fooled by the similarity of the websites
• MyTravel.com is the daddy of direct sell. It captures the internet savvy customer who is looking for a travel bargain. They expect great discounts and to cut out the middleman.
• Going Places is the travel agent and king of the high-street. It captures the customer who is making the move from the high street to the web. Still treading carefully they’ll be looking for a travel bargains but will also expect great service, great holidays and that classic travel agent service!
