    Hi All,

The Bid For Company have launched With AffiliateFuture.

"The Bid for Company was set up with the vision of offering desirable items for people to bid for and win.

However, there's a twist! To prevent all the items going to the people with the deepest pockets, we've implemented a "reverse auction" process - so for the same nominal entry fee, everyone's got an equal chance of owning the items for a tiny fraction of their value! We set the maximum amount of a bid on an item and the person with the LOWEST UNIQUE BID WINS so we know one of your customers is going to get a fantastic item at an unbelievable price.

And what’s more we’ll even give you 10% commission for Ticket referred from you.

The Bid For Company offer affiliates 10% on all ticket sales.

It's nice to see a Reverse Auction program - however, on Bid For there are SMS entry competitions - how are these tracked?

As these are the lowest value entry competitions they may appeal more than the higher ticket games... but it would seem affiliates don't get paid for this aspect of the site?

    Hi Loquax,

Sorry the affiliate links are going to a page without the SMS auctions.

There SMS auction will be coming soon but at this time they are using a third party for this that are unable to setup any external tracking

the affiliate landing page is: http://www.thebidforcompany.com/refer.asp?affid=1994567 (sorry this is the correct link for them without the SMS stuff)

    Thanks

That's a shame about the SMS text bids, as the first thing I'd be inclined to do, after clicking past the landing page, seeing more items on the next page's drop down box, is to not spend £50/£20 on a ticket then bid, but to pick up the mobile and have a go with one of the other lower priced items and seeing how popular ringtones and wallpapers are, that's possibly a greater percentage of lost referals than earned.

Let us know when SMS is accounted for, easy as 123 that is and instantly convertable. Pardon the pun. They could do a whole site based on SMS auctions just like that, a great idea!

    Cheers
    Lee

PS: I'll be picking up my mobile after this post and having a go on one of the SMS auctions, pity, lost sale for an affiliate, money for them though.

So will most visitors to this site - therefore unless the SMS is removed or a seperate site is set up we would have issues about listing them
