We've made several changes to Wood & Puzzles which we hope will boost sales and boost the number of affiliates who are actively promoting us.
Changes include:
- site redesign
- better stock management
- increased commisison
- cheaper delivery
First of all, we've commissioned a site redesign. The new design is much nicer, and hopefully will install more confidence with shoppers.
We've streamlined the number of products we offer and increased the number of items we hold in stock so we can offer quicker despatch.
We've increased the base commission from 7% to 10%, excluding P&P costs. We've also introduced two new tiers. Make 25 sales a month and we'll increase the commission to 11%, make 50 or more and we'll increase it to 12%.
Finally, we've changed our delivery policy. We used to offer Free Delivery for all orders over £50. We have now lowered the threshold to only £20. And where shipping is charged we've reduced it from £3.99 to £2.99. Wooden products aren't cheap to ship so we will sometimes be taking a hit with this, but we've also stopped offering the particularly heavy items.
We've updated our banners, and added some new ones focusing on some of the products we offer which are great for stocking fillers, such as our Paper Automata products for only £3.75.

As part of the redesign we've moved the site to a new server, so the DNS may still be propagating. If you see the old red and white logo, you are seeing the old site. The new site has a wooden background to the logo.
