Thanks for pointing this out, I have raised it with UK Betting. For now banners have been updated and all links should go directly to the main page http://www.ukbetting.com/ukb.
On all the banners and text links for UK Betting (Sportsbook) on Affiliate Future, they seem to land on a page that doesn't give details of the free £25 sportsbook bet, but instead tells of a free Poker offer on the UKBetting Poker site!
I assume we don't get any commission for the poker side of things, and yet the free £25 sportsbook offer isn't obvious (or anywhere to be seen)
To me this seems a bit sneaky....
Can the links be targetted towards the front UK Betting page rather than this?
example (with affiliate ID removed):
http://scripts.affiliatefuture.com/A...tracking=&url=
Or can the £25 sportsbook offer be added to :
http://www.ukbetting.com/ukb?action=GoBetPromo
Also, just noticed that on the front page of the UK Betting site... when you click on the 'click here' text for the sportsbook free £25 bet, it again takes you to this poker offer page (whereas clicking on the yellow 69x69 pixel banner actually gives details of the sportsbook free bet in a pop-up)

Thanks for the response Chris
Do you mean I need to update the HTML code on my UK Betting code/banners? Or that the banners will automatically redirect to the front page?
Can the front page 'click here' link (the one to the right of the yellow 69x69 image advertising the £25 bet) :
ie.
£25 in Free Bets
Stake £10+ on your first bet and £10+ on 5 subsequent bets and receive up to £25 in free bets. Click here
When you click on that link it takes you to a page that only advertises the Poker free bet - can this be changed?
I assume Totalbet is the same company (?), yet when you follow the same link through on their site you are offered 2 free bets:
http://www.totalbet.com/totalbet?action=GoBetPromo
vs.
http://www.ukbetting.com/ukb?action=GoBetPromo
That is a minor problem compared to what some bookies get up to, like their cookies are so dodgy; even on default settings 90% are rejected. In plain english you are sending traffic to these guys but the click cannot be tracked.
You lose, a no win situation. Try it, set your privacy ie default (like on most machines) the click will be denied, then check the "no entry sign" in the task bar" cookies blocked"
Almost all now use obstrusive cookies, some are goosing big style. Some are not. Some of the biggest players in the industy are main guys to watch out for...of course they have the "name" and most traffic goes to them and you will not get credit for the click...it stinks.
All banners/links should be redirecting to the main page automatically.
Yes, Totalbet and UK Betting are the same company. It looks like somebody has accidentally removed the £25 bet offer from the offers page on UKBetting as I believe it should look like the TB version.
Sammy,
I assume this wasn’t aimed at TB or UKB but all our clients use the same cookie system. All cookies are set by us before redirecting the traffic to the merchants site.
Hi Chris, you assume correctly, it was not aimed at you; if it was believe me I would have said so.
bookies cookies

BTW don't think you are immune cos you don't run gambling promos...check em out, especially finance, insurance and computers. £1 to a penny your best sales are from merchants that do not use "dodgy cookies"..ever wondered why you get a zillion clicks for one merchant (a) but merchant (b) gets few clicks, yet merchant (b) gets more sales?
bump by 10 characters or more![]()
The problem has now been fixed by Affiliate Future and UK Betting
very impressive - thank you![]()
No Problem.
At the moment ads are still going to the main page as conversions have been very strong today.
