There is a thread here. My thoughts on it a pretty much the same as yours.
As this does not appear to have been posted on the forums yet, I thought I would post it incase anyone was unofrunate enough not to have received the email or missed it in their inbox. Aren't we meant to receive 30 days noticed before commission changes ??? This was received in my inbox at 11pm on 29/09/06. Perhaps OSPS would like to offer up expected conversion rates ? This could dramatically affect our commissions. Presumably we will now have to wait at least 14 days for any sales to be approved (past customer returns date) - not ideal for anyone like us spending tons on ppc advertising....

Hello,
From Monday 2nd October OnestopPhoneShop will implement a new commission structure.
Currently commissions are paid on a per application basis, this will now be replaced with the commission being paid for per completed order.
The change in commission structure will be paid in the following way.
£0.01 will be credited for every submission received, Once we have obtained the final status of the application we will then credit a further £37.49, if the status returns as a cancelled application no further monies will be added or deducted.
You may also notice that on Friday morning some changes have been made to the handset pages of the OneStopPhoneShop website as part of their ongoing commitment to increase the conversion of the website.

No not at all we should all have the 30 day cookies set on ppls pcs before the 2nd so we should get paid the normal rate for any sales they produce for the next 30 days ... i say should but you know what AF are gonna say blah blah tripe we thought you lot knew just becasue we dont mention anything on our site or we dont tell no oneand onestop will say well we told AF months ago ...
but i suspect the change of commision is tied in with some drum banging about the non tracked urls and now theyve graciously allowed the tracking of .co.ukand perhaps god forbid the .com they know their own sales are gonna drop so they got to grab it back somehow
...anyway thats what i think as it was less than a week between the 2 ...
i.e oi why aint you tracking these domains
AF.. we thought blah blah tripe
onstop .. we use it to monitor our own sales programmethat'll fool em
Afillates ...erm sod that no your not your making it up as you go along
AF.... you can hear the tumble weed roll past
Onestop ok everyone we now track .co.uk
Onestop.. our sales are down whyi know who had their fingers crossed when we spoke to AF ... me.. good now we can change the commision structure slip a quick email out and our sales will start to rise
.. excellent idea .. make it so
