Conversion Tips:
Start of a new year, January is the busiest month of the year for customers purchasing holidays. Over 45% of all Manos bookings are made in January alone. Manos is a mainly a “Package Holiday” site, specialising in Greece, the islands, Cyprus and India.. If you wish to promote flight only, I suggest you use www.mytravel.com – where over 55% of bookings are flights (all Manos flight routes are available on MT). The one flight 0nly route worth pushing on Manos is India. Due to a change in the law, non UK residents can now fly to India on charter flights, making the Manos “Flight Only” offering attractive to all as charter flights are traditionally cheaper than scheduled.

Manos sell over 64 resorts in 20 different destinations in the Greek Isles and Cyprus alone.

Bookings in January have a higher retail value – as the majority of the bookings are brochure priced holidays for the coming summer – encouraged by the free child places and early booking offers


NB: 80% of bookings are for the coming summer, 19% for the current winter season and 1% for the following winter.

Enhanced Content:

The enhanced content project – stage 2, has been further delayed into January. The next stage of this is to include resort level landing pages, complete with hotel offerings and friendly urls. I’ll up-date all in Jan to let you know the new date for release. All new landing pages will redirect from old, so no need to panic about changing them over. I will obviously communicate a full list of the new ones as and when they are ready. Unfortunately, the only landing pages in force for Manos are the travel Guides. Once enhanced content stage 2 is live – they will have a full range of landing pages complete with booking engine.
