I'm not wasting any more time with Affiliate Future. I'm not signing up with any new merchant partners until AF's problems are fixed. I'll always go to an alternative network now, if they are working with a particular merchant I want to work with too. I just can't understand why AF made such a un-ready system LIVE that soon, risking so much. Bonkers.

When affiliates link to an affut merchant the visitor from the affiliate site gets redirected through the affut script which seems to take a long time to connect and displays “loading” in the browser it looks a bit iffy to the unsuspecting visitor to see “script…..” So question I have is how can that process be speeded up? Should be seamless really.
    Hi Jess,

Are you still having speed issues? If you are can you let me know if it's particular merchant or links? We're constantly monitoring and it's fairly seemless at the moment.

If you'd like to let us know what problems you're having then we can help fix them. There are no infastructure problems with the tracking or reporting, we're just changing the functionality on the tools hence why the old interface's are still available.

    Having spent a good part of the weekend using the new interface, I can offer my feedback;

    - 'Merchants Joined' - There seems to be no way of just getting a simple list of all the programmes I've joined. I'm stuck with either going through the directory (not even going to bother doing that), or bringing up a hopelessly long page all *all* merchants and looking for the green boxes. A simple list, giving merchant name and status would take all of 5 seconds to implement and would save you tons of bandwidth, and me lots of hair.

    - Get Links. Again, why the directory? Search box is set for exact match only for some really obscure reason that is beyond me. From login, it takes 4 clicks just to get a standard link. Too much navigation needed just to get a link. As has been mentioned here already, too much un-necessary work needed to utlise a banner.

    - Quick Tracking Links. Now if this worked, it might have swung it a bit for me. Again, exact match only on the search box (this is expecially a pain when you have programmes going by different names to the website). Make this page a simple list of basic links for joined programmes and you could have saved me 8 hours worth of work this weekend.

    - Shopping Search doesn't work at all

    - Flight search never seems to return any results whenever I try

^ Open the above as APIs and let developers build something that works.

    - Feeds. This has been covered in the thread already, so I didn't bother to look at these as they appear to be unchanged.

Visually, the interface looks much nicer, but in terms of use it's just appauling and totally unusable.

I actually still use the old interface, just prefer it for some reason. Ive had a look at the new one and when it is forced on me I will use it but for now I cant be bothered to try and find everything again.

I dont understand why the links have to go through two redirects though - could someone explain? Is it to implement the new tracking?

Ive actually seen a redirect indexed in google under the page title 'Loading...':scared

Further to my comments above, Chris has emailed this morning to state that there is in fact an API available. My apologies for not realising this, and my thanks to Chris for taking the time to respond personally to some of the points raised.

If you go under Programmes you get Merchants Joined which then gives you a categories showing how many you have in each, you then click on the category to see which merchants.

Yes, that was my point - I shouldn't have to click on every category in order to get a simple list.

When I'm updating my database, life is 100 times easier if I can compare it alphabetically and check them off as I go along. In the new interface there is no way of getting a simple list like that.

Yes, I agree. Although I like having them in categories too, but it would be a good idea to also see ALL merchants joined on one page.

I have only one gripe at the moment. I really do not like the link generator. Much preferred the old way of just copy paste and then add a tracking reference or deeplink if needed. The new interface just makes things that little bit more labour intensive.
