i'm new to my post as affiliate manager with the lead generation company opt-in-media.

I would just like to ask what's the best way on to attract and recruit new affiliate partners?

advertise for your affiliate network on the major sites that are listed in the forus here as affiliate networks,
submit your website and information about your affiliate program and you will generate leads

1st - Buzz worthy affiliate promos and customer promotions are a great way to kick off a program. Spend a little extra up front to show affiliates you are 1)serious 2)in it for the longterm 3)not a garage operation. Do a PR and hit the forums with your special offer and see what happens.

2nd - Find out who the best known affiliates in your space are. Do anything you can to get placement on those sites (even at a loss). Other affiliates watch those leader affiliates and copy what they do and who they promote. =)

3rd - Know what the most important keywords are and start googling. Personalize recruitment emails are by far the most effective way to grow a program in the early stages.

How do you find out who the top affiliates are in your "space"? For example we sell computer related products and so who are the top affiliates in that space?
