finding a hook

Hi, I am working on our first affiliate program and I'm looking for a good hook to sell the concept to our 15k mailing list of recent buyers.

I think a large number of our buyers have specialist collectable sites and are active in forums and newsgroups, so they could well benefit from the programme, but getting that over in an email subject line is the challenge.

Any ideas on successful or unsuccessful recruiting campaigns is therefore welcome.
