    Hello good people.

I am an absolute complete newbie to Affiliate marketing. I have set up an affiliate scheme on my website but up to now have not managed to get anyone signed up.

Any and all advice would be greatfully received.

A few things spring to mind:

    1. If you were to offer payment other than by Paypal I could well be interested but payment by Paypal always puts me off.

    2. At the bottom of your affiliate information page there is a continue button but clicking this does not take you to the affiliate sign up page.

    3. I think if you had the links to your affiliate scheme on the left hand side of your page like the rest of the menu it would be easier to find - I had to look at the page four times before I spotted them - I was just about to post that I couldnt find them then found them mid way down on the right hand side...
Never argue with idiots. They just drag you down to their level and then beat you with their experience.

If ignorance is bliss then some of the people I know must be orgasmic.

Didn't Ned Flanders (The Simpsons) open up a left handed store!

Possibly make the affiliates link a little more obvious, it took me a while to find it, maybe add it to the bottom of the page too or on the left nav???

Like it though, but left handed boomerangs confuse me?
Nothing worse than a smart arse!

    Hi kbudden.

    1. I thought of paypal because it would be easy for both parties. The problem I've got is that the site is multi-lingual and worldwide.

Can you recommend any other way of payment?

    2. No it doesn't but within the affiliate box "is" the signup/login link.

    3. I will move it in a couple of days. I've sent out a newsletter to all my newsletter subscribers telling them about the affiliate program and where to find it on the page.

    Thanks for your speedy reply.

On your logo.... isn't that a silhouette of a right hand?

    Hi,

I am not 100% sure but I think Barclays ePDQ is multi currency as I am sure a lot of other merchant providers are.

OK I've moved the box to the upper left. Just below the product catagories.

    CHS.
No that's not a sillouette of a right hand. It's a left hand looking from the perspective of it being someone else's hand held out in front of you

I have a merchant account with HSBC but it's only for payment collections not payments.

Left handed boomerangs will only come back when thrown with the left hand. The aero-dynamics of the "wing" would make it dive into the ground if you threw it right handed.

    Regards
    Vince.
