    Hi all,
I've a niche web business supplying glass jewellery which we make. I've spent the last two years optimising the site and we're lucky enough to be in the first three non PPC positions for all keyword phrases on all search engines. Traffic is good for a niche site, repeat business is common and the business is expanding.

So now it's time to look at affiliates, but reading through the site I'm getting bogged down in the detail. I uderstand the principles, but would love some advice on how to go about setting up a programme that will be worthwhile both for me and my affiliates! I'd be especially interested in hearing from those who have niche product sites- but all advice is welcome.

Thanks in advance, and also for the sheer amount of info available on this site- it's a superb resource.
    Ben

Affiliate marketing may not be particularly productive for you, unless your products and website sell unbelievably well. With jewellery it is a question of taste and your work is quite striking which may reduce it's market range.

It takes a long time to get a program up and working and I would be surprised if you did enough business to warrant paying any network fees.

Shop around however and you can get some good deals, however you will still need to put in quite a bit of work on the program - do not expect the networks to do more than the bare minimum to promote it.
