Calling all affiliate networks and account managers program managers….

Sorry to be so public about this but this should work really well for the account managers out there… any comments please do let us know and sorry if this is not an ok to post but I hope it should help with the affiliate world out there.

Our discount site www.s-k-i-n-t.co.uk is providing free listings and promotion of discounts. You can list a retail shop as we have regional and town level listings or internet discounts.

We come up in google for student discounts as number one site and have done for a couple of years. We also do very well in lots of other search terms.

The discount details required: company name / address / contact tel / email / web URL / Savings / notes and opening times ( 24 hours for online discounts) etc you can also upload your logo.

Discounts are checked before putting online to ensure correct information.

Our site is primarily a student discount site however we do very well for search engine traffic in a number of other general categories such as mobiles / travel / insurance / calls / quizzes / games / gifts / competitions

The discount categories are:
Books stationary and equipment
Pubs and clubs
Food and drink
Unisex hair and beauty
Music video and computer games
Phones and gadgets
Sport and Leisure
Travel and accommodation
Anything you can wear
Other stuff

If your category is not there, don’t worry list it as “other stuff” and we will look at extending the categories as required over time.

We are a member of many of the affiliate networks and would need to link to the internet discounts using our affiliate id. We will ensure this happens on checking the discounts. Any discounts provided by shops will be listed within their town and category for free. We are doing this because we believe that the students should get to this information as easily as possible.

Our students can see your listings without having to sign up to s-k-i-n-t however we do send them on signing up a free discount card.

Our page rank is 4 in google. We have loads of traffic from 18 to 24 age range plus and now its going crazy on traffic and signups as its student freshers time.

Lets hope this is a great move for companies promoting discounts, for our skint students and also for s-k-i-n-t.co.uk.

good stuff... just one question, how does this work for affiliate programs, if they fill in the info? Do you contact them to find out how to sign up to their program and grab the tracking link? Is there a way of adding that info in the form?
Do you handle the bag lady too?

Glad you think it is of use thats great. If you just add the links with our affiliate id for the campaign on your network (we are a member of webgains/trade doubler/affiliate network/affiliate future/buy.at/smart quotes etc... ). Add the links in the web link URL and will need to be text links only also we will need the links to open in their own window.

If you do not have text links then add the affiliate code to the savings text box after any savings message and let us know which network you are from.

Bag Lady are promoting free listing to their members on our behalf no bag lady is not ours - unfortunately lol!
