    Hi Guys

I have a potential client, a clothing catalogue company, that would like to launch an affiliate programme. At present they operate web sites in UK, USA and Germany.

I'm fine with the UK networks but have not run any campaigns outside of our island so don't know who the best European and USA contenders are.

Do any other merchants have experience in these territories and any recommendations as to which networks would handle all 3 countries most effectively?

    Hey Steve,

I have had exp in working with a CJ Germany and CJ USA and they were v good and found them pro-active.

Obviously Trade Doubler operate in Germany as well.

If you are looking for one network to cover Germany and US I would have a discussion with CJ

the most obvious one in Germany is Zanox. We have signed up with them as an international merchant and most affiliates seem to come from Germany and surrounding countries. (For some reason Zanox is less popular with UK affiliates). Webgains has also started in Germany recently, but we are not live on their German network yet.

For the US, the best value is shareasale, and I would definitely recommend them. Great network, great features and cheap (no monthly cost, very low set-up, low override). Also, you don't get adware, spyware or affiliates that generate fake traffic.
Most merchants are niche merchants, rather than mainstream retailers.

However, if your client have a high start up budget they may want to try CJ or linkshare. They will charge very high set up fees and monthly fees, but apparently the volume of sales will be much higher than shareasale.

    cheers

    That's useful Stefan.

Which other low-fee networks would people recommend for US merchants alongside Shareasale?

Linkshare, CJ etc. are good, but their fees are out of reach for a small US merchant I've been approached by.

Thanks for all the advice. The USA and Germany versions will only be launching in a few months after we have tested the UK version but I will post back about which we've chosen and any results/experiences we have

AF UK are a great company, but the US division is different. I tried ringing and emailing the US office six times last quarter. They only got back to us once - and that took three months of trying to contact them.

Somebody else told me they had the same experience.

    Thanks for the tip Axod.
