Hi Guys and Gals

A potential client is a publisher of various specialist books. In the past he has sold these books through relevant newspapers and magazines and he gets a really good response. He is now in the process of creating some websites, one for each book. I have suggested creating one site for all his books but he would prefer to have an individual one for each to start with since he will be directing people from offline adverts and would like the site to be focused on a single topic.

He has asked me to look into some online marketing for him and so far we have discussed SEO, PPC, email, etc. One of his books I feel may be suitable for affiliate promotion as it is based around mortgages and finance. It is written by the finance editor of a well know newspaper. Since there are quite a number of affiliates out there with finance sites it could be a nice product to sell along side their other products and services.

The book will sell for £9.99 and comes either as hardcopy (£2.99 postage) or can be downloaded. I am suggesting an affiliate commission of £4 per book.

I have spoken to a few networks so far just to get a feeling of what the response may be and they seem to feel that taking on a single product is not really worth their while, and I can see their point. I have also investigated ClickBank but have not used them before so am not sure what the volumes are likely to be for the downloads or what the quality of the affiliates is.

Has anyone here got experience with single product selling or has anyone sold items through ClickBank? Also, any finance affiliates out there want to comment on whether or not they would consider selling a highly targeted book or ebook and do many UK affiliates belong to ClickBank?

Any advice would be most useful
