Hi everyone
Has anyone had any experience or success at getting affiliate networks to have affiliates link directly to your site to increase PageRank and search engine rankings?

Well said Ian. Nope it certainly isn't what it is all about and most affiliates I know would not be happy to do this. To be honest, if this was the case most affiliates I know would use rel="nofollow" to get the search engines to disregard the link and try to ensure you got as little benefit from it as possible.

There are a couple of networks with the technical capability to do this, but you shouldn't run an affiliate program to improve your organic SEO. If you want to run the 2 projects concurrently, that's fine, but they should be 2 separate projects.

If only...
Thanks for your comments, I didn't think I'd get a positive response! We already run a successful affiliate program through a couple of networks, and I just thought it would be good to make more of those inbound links. I can understand why affiliates wouldn't go for it though, even if we offered higher commissions for doing so.
