I am preparing to launch a Parties and Novelties website which will have many popular themes and over 7,000 products using x-cart and need some help regarding affiliate marketing.

The Affiliate strategy is integral to the business and this is why we chose x-cart because of the way it automates data feeds.

From some industry information the big players are paying 8% commission but I am positive we can pay higher commissions if Affiliates can produce a minimum of £1000 of orders per month.

Can any Affiliates give me some guidance on this industry and their experience of the Party and Novelties sector.

Also what will be the best network to work with and the reasons why affiliates prefer a particular network

Lastly if I was paying a commission what the likely response of affiliates is likely to be.
