Start up requires Affiliate Network

Hello, I have just joined this forum on recommendation from a colleague. I am a co-founder of The Recovery Network, an online community site for anyone affected by addiction. To compliment the work we are doing in CPC and SEO we have been advised to join an Affiliate Network to drive memberships and subscriptions.

I have done some reading and called around and I am inclined to join POR, any thoughts on this?

We are a start up and have been live since November 07, given that our monthly visits are still low and that we will be charging just £5 per month per subscription (more if the user signs up for 6 or 12 months at a time), will there be enough incentive for affiliates to promote us given that their kick back for sign up will be quite low?

Any input greatly appreciated!!
