I have started developing my first Adult affiliate site and am having trouble understanding why some other porn review sites censor their pictures and some dont.

Do i need to censor my pictures and screen shots or not? what are the reasons for doing so and what are the benefits?

I was thinking it may have something to do with hoasting. posibly some dont allow adult content unless its censored. or is it to do with SEO?

if you know anything pleasde help.

No it's to do with legislation.

Some don't and run the risk but consider this. Where is your customer viewing from?

It is illegal to view in some countries and you are supposed to block specific IP ranges. In addition you are supposed to ensure that any non member area complies with local legislation (many countries permit "uncensored" members areas but not permit "gash" shots and more in the non sign up areas).

    Do your research.

I have researched for infomation on this subject and find contradicting info. do you know of a good trustworthy site that will have legal notices and info?

im thinking that consoring is the way to go. cover myself and be on the safe side. also i was thinking to add a welcome page at the entrace to my site stating you must be over 18. i have added the disclamers at the bottom of the page but still looking for more info.

Send me some info next week on what you plan. Different legislation for movies, violence etc with new laws coming in. I have some reference locations for you to review.
