Pete, not to worry. The mixed up might be because it was my company that was sponsoring it on behalf of Paid on Results. End of the day who cares, it's the thought that counts as they say![]()
Ok, these are the guys willing to put in £250+ yes?
I have some questions there. What do people get for the £250? Or is it just the enjoyment?
If it is just the enjoyment you may get from helping it happen, why was the figure £250 given? Why can't people give what they can afford?
I'm only asking as i don't mind the thought of helping, but don't think i can stretch that far, unless there's more to it LOL
Carl, you don't get anything for putting in your money other than affiliates and merchants knowing on the get2togther website that you done your little bit to make sure it happens.
It's not meant for affiliates to feel they have to sponsor it, we are hoping enough merchants and networks come forward.. Sure most will, as it sounds like a much better event.
Cool,
And since when did you post 10 times more than me? You been fiddling the figures again? 8o
Sponsors make events like this happen, without them it would not be possible - especially when we need to hire a venue for an all day event. We should therefore be very grateful for all those that have helped out. I'm sure the list will grow of the coming weeks.
Having spent all of Friday afternoon on the phone to different merchants I should have a handful of new sponsors confirming in the next few days.
I can't edit Helens original post above...but here are two more merchants who have generously agreed to support the event so far:
Consodata (Yoptin) - www.consodata.com/yoptin/...rtners.htm
Date The UK - www.awin1.com/signup.php?merchant=314
Thank you Nick and Fiona, for supporting the next Get2Gether. I'm sure the affiliate community will recognise your commitment to the marketplace![]()

More sponsors have recognised the importance of developing closer working relationships with their partners and I'm pleased to say that the following have also agreed to support the next Get2Gether:
Comet
FoneTastic Mobile
More coming soon!!
eSpotting have also stood up to be counted amongst the pro-active affiliate merchants willing to support the event.
Another couple:
Bet365
B&Q
QGJ, I still need to find quite a few more (the conference facilities at our proposed venue require more budget than the last Get2Gether!).
If you have any merchants you would like to see (especially helpful if you have name and phone number) then I'll try to encourage them to come!
Thanks to our two new sponsors...
The AA
Flipside
We still need some more to cover the venue costs and free bar, so if any merchants are lurking that I haven't yet arm-twisted to support this event then please drop me an email!

Neil / Helen,
The list of merchants is growing quite rapidly. Really looking forward to meeting some of them.
really pleased that TD are sponsoring.
Should be some interesting conversations. Be realy good to get their side of the story on lots of issues.
Do you have enough sponsors now?
Steve
