Yep need to sort something out. It's a sunday morning, the sun is shinging - need to get my balls out but my local course is fenced off due to an arsnic problem!!

Does anyone have any regions in mind and could one of the golf merchants sponsor it?

Going Golf - would be good as they're in Manc

However, I think 2-fore-1golf on AW would be a very handy sponsor?? Anyone want to organise it?
Do you have products for review on my chocolate reviews or Easter eggs blog?s PM me.

    Hi Guys & Gals,

I like the sound of these golf days, better get some practice in

I would suggest you try out Whittlebury Golf Club. I have provided links for both the hotel and a maps of the course etc.

    Here is the hotel: www.whittleburyhall.co.uk

    Here is the course: www.whittlebury.co.uk

Playing red to blue is always fun

It's a great venue and the food at the hotel is fantastic. It's also nice place for both husband, wife, partner, lover, mistress etc to relax as they have a great spa...

    Only a thought all.

Keep me updated on the progress.

I'd love a round ...... my handicap is playing in my platforms.

Used to play off 18 but that was many moons ago.
Always good for a laugh tho so put my name down as long as it's not up in Scotland or the like.

    Hello chaps,

Yep. I'd be up for playing.

My handicap is that I've got an overly large apendage at the front of my body and it really effects my balance

Nope. I've only recently started playing, so havn't got a handicap but give it a couple of months and I'll be able to play with you all.

I was thinking the same thing this week. Location was a problem for half the interested people last time so the sooner a date is booked the better people can organise to get there. Perhaps a poll on preferred county's will help decide a location?

With regard to location definitely one in the UK convenient to most of the players.

I was also thinking of one abroad like a G2G Golf Event over 4 or 5 days. Maybe Portugal.

Depending on location I might have a game, although I'm probably more the type of player who likes to walk round with a can of Stella in my hand rather than a golf glove...

Interesting idea on the Portugal one QGJ!

    Cheers

can I just point out that the location needs to have a big "tea room" for us girls to sit in while you boys play your hearts out giving your best shot(s)...

Golfing events... that's just sex discrimination...

Ability is not an an issue as long as the Golf Club don't mind us hacking up their course.

As long as you can hit a ball or could learn the basics between now & then. It is planned to have at least half a dozen next year, though all are not required attendance.

It's meant to be fun & there will be trophies or prizes etc best score, closest to pin, longest drive, best attire and so forth. Meeting at the Golf Course on evening before for a drink or two then tee off the next mornin'ish...well...maybe lunchtime.

We quite probably have a sponsor for organising deals at venues. But I don t wish to put them on the spot as yet. The nights before could coincide with general affiliate pub meets for locations etc so that those who don't play we could all meet up.

If you don t play, you could always be the caddy or drive the buggy...

At this stage we are just collecting names, so if you are potentially interested, stick your name down here please.

It's not about serious golfers as it's meant to be fun, so hackers are most welcome.
Sounds good however the only golf I've ever played has funny houses and windmills on the course and I thought an Iron was to help uncrease clothes!!
Couple of the chaps seem to think they are great and are up for this too, think it could be 4 of us, 2 ladies 2 chaps.

I'd be up for this, although similar to a few other people on this thread I have very little experience. It's always been one of those "I'll have to learn it one day" type things, although I do have some clubs that I can get out of the loft!
