    Hi All

I wanted to gauge interest in having a Raffle at the A4U Event on the 15th September. This would be to raise money for Cancer Research. It would be £5 for 5 tickets. If 300 people take part this would mean we could raise £1,500 for Charity.

If you think it's a great idea please enter the poll so we can gauge interest.

I would love to hear from any merchants who are prepared to put a prize into the draw, minimum value would be £150 (to make sure we get quality rather than quantity otherwise we will be drawing names all afternoon!)

    Thoughts

    Cheers

I'm obviously going to say Yes but not just for me.

I'd be up for it, as I think would most people. Sparing a fiver for such a worthy cause is not something a lot of people would object to.

    Best wishes.

Great idea Helen, would be more than happy to buy a few tickets for this very worthy charity. Would also be happy to put up a prize too. I'm not a merchant but am very much a big supporter of this charity since I lost my Mam to cancer. Will send you a pm with details.

    Cheers!

Its real good to see the A4U finally taking up the opportunity of raising money, and running a raffle in the name of charity at get2gethers etc. For those that don't know, I tried last christmas but it kind of didnt take place for a number of reasons so personally I am happy that this time round it is being embraced and welcomed

Helen, is there any news on this? i.e. what type of prizes do you want? Should we donate the prize, or the cash directly to you? Also, do you have to be present to buy tickets as I am not yet 100% sure if I can make it

it looks like there is enough interest to do this, therefore will get cracking!

Johnny (partner) & I lost a good friend yesterday to cancer so for me personally this is very close to my heart.

am waiting to hear from some other merchants to see if we can get enough prizes.....So far we only have an Ipod from Kieron and have raided our cupboards for any groovy film freebies. Ideally i want merchants to come on board for this - come on people join in!

Chris, the tickets will be sold on the day at the time of registration. I will be asking everyone whoo wants to take part to bring crisp £5 notes so i can get the cash converted into a cheque at lunchtime! You have to come to the event its going to be a good one!!

Come on you merchants and networks start putting up some prizes

£150 out of your marketing budgets is nothing - so come on, forego a couple of working lunches and put up a prize.

I'm out of hospital next week so if a good half dozen of you haven't put up prizes by then I'll be on the phone to badger you - and you know how determined I am when I put my mind to something

Couldn't agree more. I am stumping up a prize around the £150 mark, and you all know that's over 6 months worth of affiliate income for me!
