yep we need a hotel as well - we're bringing our daughter, Gaynor (new part-time employee) so can't run to 'posh' hotels - maybe next year when she's earned her keep

fine Zak - unfortunately me and Dave have put weight on (all this fine living off affiliate proceeds) so not a lot of room in our bed - might have to have a word with Gaynor - I'm sure her fiance won't mind![]()

hi guys
i live in nottinghill at the moment, so here is another option
http://www.abbeycourthotel.co.uk/ Prices for room are: double £120 per night single £79
they are located about 5 min walk to the mitre and probably 15/20 walk to roof gardens however if you are really lazy you can catch the 27 bus from nottinghill down to kensington and it will drop you right outside!
http://www.hilton.co.uk/kensington is also midway between the venues
I live in this area so if anyone has any problems call me on 020 7420 8531 or email helen @ digital-outlook .com
Cheers
Helen

The Thistle Kensington Palace looks ok to me.
Has anyone stuck their neck out and booked anything yet?
We're booked in at the Shaftsbury Kensington
http://www.londonby.com/shaftesburykensington/ (it's just off the above map down towards Earls Court tube station).

I ended up booking the Comfort Inn, Notting Hill as it was cheap, had wifi and is walking distance from the Mitre.

I'll have a look at the comfort Inn - sounds good to me 'cos it's cheap and I won't be able to walk very far after drinks at the Mitre! And I like the sound of staying in Notting Hill - just like in the film!
I too am in the http://www.royalgardenhotel.co.uk - well I have a room booked. Not sure if they will turn me away when I turn up with my scouse accent and my new cream Kappa Shell Suit
I have the broom cupboard on 3rd floor booked - bargain at £1273.53 per night ex VAT![]()
Hi Guys,
I'm at the Royal Gardens Hotel too, its the closest to the venue for me and we need to set loooads up in the morning so it was convenience that swung it.
Matthew.
