Hotels in the heart of Manchester
Dear All. If you need to book hotels in Manchester for the A4U get-toghether on the 22 June, then Superbreak is offering a 15% discount on the online rate at any of our Manchester hotels for the event.
You can search for hotels on superbreak.com to check the package (2 star Travelodges to 5-star luxury). The Midland is near the venue and a classic hotel, but there is a good Travelodge (Manchester Central) round the corner as well! Sachas is more quirky and a 8-10 min walk. For a meag treat try the Rennaissance or the Lowry.
To get a 15% discount, call 0870 701 4444 and quaote A4U Manchester. Oh, and unlike soem sites that got flak after the London A4U, the price you pay is inc vat, breakfast will be stated as inclusive or not (almost all manchester hotels, except travelodge, includes breakfast) and no hidden fees.

A word of caution - avoid the Picadilly Jarvis like the plague! Its about 25 mins walk away, but revolting - trust me.
The Midland is only 10 mins walk/stumble from Barca, and it's very nice. "The Ox" pub is about 1 min away, and has about 10 rooms in it - was voted the best pub in Britain so I imagine that will be a good choice too. Food/drinks in there are great![]()
Myself and Duncan will be at the Midland. Looking forward to this G2G!

I think the Travelodge (Manchester Central) have some good inexpensive deals at the moment - get in quick at £26 a room! - I think we are going with this one - However I have no idea if its any good - but at 1am a bed is a bed and also Jurys Inn I'm told is good - Ian are these any good?
There is also the castlefield hotel which is very close I am told.
Matt
I've not heard about the castlefield hotel, but it looks nice enough : http://www.castlefield-hotel.co.uk/
Its VERY close to Barca too, certainly within stumbling distance(2 mins walk).
The Travelodge and Jurys Inn aren't too far, maybe 5-10 mins walk - nothing special about the hotels but more importantly nothing wrong![]()
Sashas seems to be £45 a room if you book via the trainline (i know it s a last minute partner, but it s still cheaper than on the last minute site).
for the code David![]()
£42.50 for the Travelodge (central) - and it's staggering distance, what more do we need!
See you all there
Jen
Just rang the number provided by Dave and asked for a room at Jurys Inn for 1 person, 1 night.
They had to ring the hotel direct, and although they have rooms available they are not offering [Superbreaks] any more at either the normal rate or the discounted rate![]()
Frostie, hi.
I checked with reservations, and our roomallocations and freesale for the Jury's is sold out for the night in question. As I understand things, the hotel has a handfull of rooms left and they only want to accept full rate direct bookings. Hence the issue! You can get the room at double the price on Expedia, or try one of our other hotels. We still have availability at the Travelodge, Radisson, Brittania, Palace and Mitre hotels to name just a few.
Sorry we couldnt help with the Jury's, but hey, you'd be more annoyed paying a mega rate just because its the last room?
Ola,
I have just used the discount code to book a night for myself and Bonnie at Sachas on Tib Street, got a cracking price too. Looking forward to it. See you all there!

No worries Dave. Many thanks for double checking for me. Whats even more confusing if I phone Jurys up direct, they are quoting £84 which is less than what they would give it to you guys for, but go to their website and its cheaper again.Originally Posted by helsby
And this is why I don't have a travel website - too confusing![]()
